How the WSET Level 2 exam works

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines exam is a closed-book, 50-question multiple-choice paper taken in 60 minutes. You need 55% to pass — that's 28 correct answers. Score 70% or more and you earn a pass with merit; 85% or more is a pass with distinction.

Questions cover grape varieties, wine regions, viticulture, winemaking, label terms, and food pairing across the full syllabus. Nothing outside the course book is tested — which means drilling the syllabus systematically is all it takes.

✓ Train with 718 original questions written to mirror the real question style — then sit unlimited mock exams until your practice score sits comfortably above 85%.
